You’ve heard me say it once, and I’ll say it again: having good content to post on your business page is very important for having a successful online presence. There’s a reason that social media gurus say, “content is king.” However, I’m about to go back on my word and say that sometimes content doesn’t matter

IF you don’t have any followers.

Now you might be wondering “okay so how do I get more followers then?” Well you’re in luck, because this blog is going to walk you through exactly how to do that, with the help of Facebook’s “promote” button.

Facebook’s promote button allows you to create an ad that specifically invites people in your community to follow your page. Here’s how to access that:

Step 1: Navigate to Your Business Page On Facebook

Step 2: Scroll Down To The Blue “Promote” Button On The Left Hand Side Of Your Page

Step 3: Select “Promote Your Page” From The List Of Options

Step 4: Create Your Ad

1. Type In Your Desired Ad Text.

Tip: Caption cannot be longer than 90 characters

2. Select “Edit” To Create Your Audience

Tip: Make sure to change the audience location to the town/area that your practice is in. Then, adjust the age of the audience to fit your typical patient. (Don’t worry about including “interests” in your audience creation)

3. Choose Your Budget & Duration

Tip: I recommend running your “Page Promotion” ad for 20 days at $3/day minimum.

Step 5: Click “Promote” To Launch Your Ad

It’s as easy at that!

One last (important) thing: Since your hard-earned money is on the line, you’re going to want to check how your Page Promotion is performing. You can view that on your Business page by navigating to “Insights,” at the top of the page, and then selecting “Promotions” from the left hand bar on the page.

Now who’s ready to promote their page?!
