Looking to improve your Facebook page engagement? Well, there are 2 things that you can do:

Option 1: Follow the Facebook Optimization Cheat Sheet, below

Option 2: Let ChiroSocialMedia Optimize your page for you

If you are ready to tackle this on your own, take a look at what any Page Admin should focus on.

10 Ways To Optimize Your Facebook Presence:

1. Use Emojis in Your Posts

Using emojis in your post can increase the number of likes by up to 57%.

2. Include 1-2 Relevant Hashtags in Your Posts

Hashtags give you the opportunity to reach more people. But here’s the catch: keep it to 2 hashtags MAX. Ironically enough, using too many hashtags can actually lower engagement. It’s also essential to make sure the hashtag you select is highly relevant to the post. Some general examples could be: #Chiropractic, #ChooseChiropractic, or #(Your Practice Name)

3. Boost Your Posts that get Good Engagement (Engagement = Likes & Comments)

Knowing what posts to spend your money on is important because you want to make sure you are getting the highest ROI. If you spend $5 to boost a post, make sure it’s one that lots of people seem to like or comment on. (View Tip #10)

4. Invite People To “Like” or “Follow” Your Page

In order for people to see your posts, you need to have followers! Check out this past CSM blog to see how exactly to invite people to like your page.

5. Include Visuals in Your Posts

Posts with visuals have up to 650x more engagement than posts that don’t. Additionally, people are more likely to remember posts with visuals. But, do NOT steal images from the internet. Violating copyright laws will prove to be very costly. Shutterstock is a good resource that you can use to legally purchase and download stock images. (Tip: Buy the image packages as opposed to downloading single images.) On the other hand, if you don’t want to spend the extra money on stock photos, don’t be afraid to take your own!

6. Use Video Posts (avoid the 2:30-2 minute range)

Video has between 2-3x more engagement than other post types. Live Videos are one of the easiest video formats to post. This personalized video format gives people a personalized look into your practice and what you stand for. If you happen to have a business Instagram page, (which is advised) be sure to link it with your Facebook page so that your stories show up on both platforms. Check out this past blog to learn more about why Live videos are important and how you can do this.

7. Respond to All Post Comments & Shares

Commenting back on your posts lets your followers know that you hear them and that you care. Take a couple minutes out of every day to check your page notifications to stay on top of your post engagements.

8. Post regularly

Top businesses post at least once a day. Take the time to create meaningful content that allows you to engage with your followers on a regular basis. Posting daily increases your chances of being seen on the news feed & for your followers to remember you.

9. Post Engaging & Relevant Content that Educates Your Followers

Beyond posting regularly, keep your content fresh! Check out this past blog for some post ideas that you can use for your page.

10. Include a Call to Action in Your Posts: ESPECIALLY BOOSTED POSTS

A call to action (CTA) is a statement that encourages your viewers to take a specific action, such as: Call Our Office Today! Whenever you Boost a post, it is very important to include some type of CTA. If not, you are putting money behind a post that may not drive a specific action.

If you make it a point to implement these 10 tips, you will surely see your engagement increase!

But sometimes it’s not that easy… As you can see, this can take a lot of time—especially if you are balancing this job on top of treating patients. That’s where ChiroSocialMedia can help. CSM saves you time by creating & automatically posting patient-centered content for you every day. We take care of the business side so that you can focus on being a doctor.
